My cat Leonardo
A post about my animal friend and what he does.
A lot of people have pet cats, and I am one of them. My animal companion's name is Leonardo, Leo for short (The reason why I named him that is because I was a big fan of TMNT at the time. If you didn't know, the main turtle's name is also "Leonardo"). I had him since December of 2013. At the moment of writing this, he is five years old and is going to be six this year.
I found him at a cat beauty contest in late 2013. Back then he was a tiny little kitten. He played with me through the cat tent that he was in. My parents then contacted his owner and bought him for me. Then I got him as an early gift for Christmas. When he was brought home I instantly fell in love with him. He was cute, playful and veeeery funny. He still is, although he gets tired faster than he used to. And I mean, he is not really the most active cat in the world. He spends a lot of the day sleeping and just laying down somewhere. At night, however, he begins running all around the apartment and making a lot of noise.

One REALLY weird thing about him is that he rarely lets you pet him with your hands. Instead, he prefers to be petted with feet. I do not know what caused this, but he would rather be petted with feet than to be petted the normal way. I do not mind this at all, but I have to admit that it is a weird thing. I have yet to witness another cat that prefers being petted an unconventional way. Oh, and whenever Leo wants you to pet him he just begins scratching at some object that you are touching. If I am writing then he begins to scratch the table, if I am eating he begins scratching the chair. It is always funny and cute.
Yes, he is standing. This is probably one of my favorite Leonardo photos.
Overall, Leo is an amazing, cute, weird and funny friend. There is much more that I could say about him, and I probably will in future posts. I highly recommend that you get yourself a cat (or any other animal that can be a good pet, for that matter) as it can make you much happier and make your life more enjoyable.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
