Max Payne 3 and why I love it
A game about bullets, hate, and forgetting the past
I know that I should make a Game Review for this, but I just could not wait. I really wanted to share this topic with you.

Max Payne 3 is the third (and at the moment the last) game in the Max Payne series. It was released in 2012 by Rockstar, and in my opinion, it is one of the best underrated games out there.

First off, I will talk about the game. Just like the first and the second Max Payne games, it is a third person shooter with bullet time and bullet dodging. The game feels much grittier than the first two games, and it shows Max as a fat and old alcoholic who moved to Sao Paulo to work as a bodyguard for a rich businessman.

There are various things that made Max Payne 3 unsuccessful: the long development, the sudden switch of settings, and mainly the new Max. I still do not understand why people hate this game so much, I consider it to be one of the best modern games. The gritty story, the amazing gunplay and the dark soundtrack and the immersive locations all make it a truly good game. Although it is not perfect, it is VERY close to being perfect. I frequently play the soundtrack in the background as I play other games: it usually makes them feel much more badass and action packed.

What I find interesting about the game is how there are basically no loading screens, instead they are replaced by unskippable cutscenes. Honestly, I wish there would be a way to skip the cutscenes when the loading is finished for those people who do not care about the story and would rather shoot gang members in a night club ontop of a skyscraper.

I highly recommend that you play the game if you didn't, you will most likely love it. That is, unless you try to hate the game on purpose: seeking out bad things about it, which I highly do NOT recommend.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
