Is Roblox really going downhill?
A topic that has been around for years.
Roblox going downhill has been a topic for years and years, and whenever Roblox removes some feature (like forums, for example) more people start believing it. So is Roblox REALLY going downhill?
There are a lot of things that cause people to believe Roblox is becoming worse: Rthro, the removal of Tix, the removal of forums, the removal of Guests… Honestly, I will review all of these.
Rthro has been hated by literally everyone since it was added. Basically, it turns your blocky character into a more realistic, humanoid avatar. I think that people are over-exaggerating it: they make stupid-looking avatars on purpose just to criticize Rthro for it. However, I do think that it is an unnecessary addition, since it does not benefit the game developers in any way: and most developers do not even allow Rthro avatars in their games.

Next up, we are going to discuss the removal of Tix. I, personally, am not against this decision at all. Yes, you could trade Tix for Robux. But that was like, one Robux every two days. You would need to wait a month to get a cheap, 15 Robux gamepass. No, I do not think that the "IT IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!111!!!!1!" excuse is valid. It just gave such a small amount of money it was practically useless.
Now, the removal of forums. This is probably the only thing on this list that I actually find very bad and extremely unnecessary. The forums were a fun place, and they were removed due to how hard they were to moderate. Personally, I feel like this was a stupid thing to do, all of the fun times you could spend on the forums made up for the toxicity. But I mean, the thing that sparked this was probably the time when someone posted illegal content on the forums. I am not going to go too deep into that, you can do research on it yourself.

And now, the removal of guests. I do not understand why people are so mad at this one, making an account on Roblox literally takes like a minute at the very most. You do not need to have a confirmed Email, you do not need to fill out like 10 fields, you just have to type in your username, password date of birth and gender. That's literally about it.

So is Roblox going downhill? I feel like the answer is no, instead it is an unpredictable rollercoaster. Most people say that Roblox is going downhill just because they want to criticize Roblox, and do not actually think too deep into the topic.
